Jad B. Johnson - Handbell Soloist
 
 

About Me


Born and raised in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Jad attended Central United Methodist Church growing up.  He met his future wife, Allison Braswell, at handbell rehearsals at First United Methodist Church in Athens, and they were married in 2005 in Macon.  They are the parents of two - a girl and a boy.


Jad is an alumnus of Fitzgerald High School and the University of Georgia in Athens, and he studied Law at Mercer University in Macon.  Currently he is employed as a public defender in LaFayette, GA.


Jad is a member of the First United Methodist Church handbell choir in LaFayette, the auditioned community handbell group "The Metropolitan Bells" in Chattanooga, TN, and also "The Metropolitan Bell Quartet."


Jad began solo ringing in Macon, GA in 2002 in while at law school in Macon, GA, and has participated in two Solo and Ensemble Extravaganzas (sponsored by STEP Publishing), and was a member of the SEE  "Dream Teams," where his quartet served as faculty.  Jad and Allison have published 4 arrangements so far.
